We’re used to reading a very similar explanation of intuition from many writers:
Listen to your gut feeling
Focus on your heart more than your head
Follow signs that look like interesting synchronicities
Stay centered in the moment.
I don’t disagree with the benefit of staying clear, by living in the present moment and building up trust in our own
urgings. After all, we are connected to something that simply knows the big picture. This something will know that
quitting a particular job or moving to a particular part of the country will lead to the fruition of our desired objective, and then nudge us
with feelings or external synchronistic events.
However, after reading U.S. Andersen’s chapter on Intuition in “Three Magic Words“, I realized how much I
preferred his explanation. ( and I couldn’t help but wonder how I missed the message on my first read )
The subject of the Master, Jesus, was brought up several times in this chapter:
|
Every law he [Jesus] voiced, every work he did, regardless of how clothed in parable,
regardless of how phrased to meet the mental grasp of those whom he spoke, was yet an illustration of the universe’s
immutable laws–laws which each day our scientific studies are bringing to light and declaring to be fact two thousand years
after this man from Nazareth spoke then on the plans and hills of Galilee. He intuitively grasped
them.
…
He saw that the laws were within him, were part of him, were his very foundation and
essence; and he placed in them his entire trust and confidence, made himself one with them, achieved the
consciousness of the Universal Subconscious Mind, utilized the power far greater than he was, told a world astounded at his
works, “It is the Father who dwelleth with me. He doeth the works.”

Intuition is, more than just “sensing”
something you need to do, or being able to tell there’s something just wrong about someone’s intentions.
Intuition is knowing who you are, realizing that you’ve always been more than flesh and blood, and the
power you assume by acting from this power inside you, in your focused thoughts and actions, is in fact the power
that designed and manifested this Universe and the power that keeps big things like planets, twirling and whirling in the sky…
If I could just state in a single sentence what I personally “got” from this, it is the realization that Intuition could
be considered a better way to have “faith”, than how I had been told from various metaphysical texts on “Faith”.
Jesus intuited this Power that he was connected to, so innately, that the need for something called: “Faith” was
completely irrelevant as a necessity for “calling on the God-Force” for his “miracles”.
