What I consider one of the real Plus's of the Movie, The
Secret.
Most people were raised with beliefs that the material
world is all there is , and so when it comes to exposure to this kind of extreme new information, they kinda need to have it delivered from people they consider
credible and thus tend to trust.
I was therefore glad that people like Jack Canfield, Fred Alan
Wolf, and Bob Proctor were among the people chosen to present this material.
And not exactly for my own benefit - but rather because I know that
people that are more hesitant to accept new beliefs about Reality - just simply
tend to open up their personal "New-Belief-Input Valve" when someone who they
had already seen on television somewhere, -- are now publicly making it known they fully adopt this
belief system.
Let me state, now, that All of the contributing speakers
in this movie had excellent value to offer in talking about the Secret.
One particular part of The Secret that pleased me was their advice to start with something
simple and small. They advised to use the principles they discuss in this movie, to attract a free cup
of coffee.
Many people don't believe what they don't see ( even though they don't see Electricity
- but they know it works! ), and they don't believe that certain Universal principles have been in
force and applied by their mind, unconsciously, throughout their life.
And even after reading books from the early 1900's to present day, such as Thomas Troward,
Wattles, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer some people just insist on more proof.
So starting with something small (meaning, something you don't have a desperate, pining
attachment to, which thus cancels the progress) is the perfect way to show to yourself that these
principles work !
One of the first ways I applied these principles was imagining that I'm right near a
Golden Retriever who is allowing me to pet it (or him/her).
After three consecutive mornings of imagining this with strong feeling, ("strong", as in really imagining that the dog was there with all of my senses, and that I wasn't
actually at home in my chair), events actually transpired and orchestrated
themselves so that I found myself sitting at a table at Starbucks two mornings later, and a
neighborhood lady walked her Golden Retriever right past me.
This big affectionate dog plopped his head right on my lap for me to pet it! (my hand had some
blueberry muffin on it, so obviously I wasn't going to touch the dog.)
I was smiling heavily on the way back home, because I had controlled events with my attention,
and I did this consciously and with purpose. and intention.
This is what Conscious Creation is.
And after proving it yourself, experientially, in a minor way, you are so much
more likely to apply it in larger ways, and especially to that one overriding mega-Objective that you
could truly call your big wish.
